Terms of Service
These terms set out the practical rules for using RangerOS as a SaaS platform for ranger operations, field records, reporting workflows and early alpha mobile capture.
1. Agreement
By accessing RangerOS, creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you agree to these terms. If your organisation has a signed agreement with Yuma IT for RangerOS, that agreement applies to the extent it is inconsistent with these terms.
RangerOS is intended for business and organisational use, including Indigenous ranger programs, land management teams, administrators, coordinators and stakeholders who are authorised by their organisation.
2. Accounts and authorised users
You must use accurate account information, keep login details secure and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. Organisations are responsible for deciding who may access their RangerOS workspace and what permissions those users should have.
You must not share accounts, bypass access controls, interfere with another organisation's workspace, or use RangerOS in a way that could damage the platform or other customers' data.
3. Customer data and field records
RangerOS is designed to store and process operational records such as patrols, sightings, incidents, tasks, safety checks, training, assets, maintenance, fuel records, photos, uploads, notes, reports, offline import packages and location-related field information.
Your organisation owns or controls the data it enters into RangerOS. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions and cultural or organisational authority needed to upload, record, use and share that data.
- Do not upload information you are not authorised to handle.
- Review sensitive cultural, personal, environmental or safety information before sharing it with broader teams or external stakeholders.
- Use exports and reports consistently with your organisation's governance, grant, privacy and recordkeeping obligations.
4. Reporting, AI assistance and external data
RangerOS may help draft NIAA-aligned reporting narratives, generate evidence packs, run quality checks, and display external context such as weather, tides, fire hotspots, road, fuel, price or other operational feeds.
These features are tools to support human review. You remain responsible for checking outputs before relying on them, submitting them to funders, using them for operational planning, or sharing them outside your organisation.
5. Field use and offline mobile alpha
RangerOS Mobile and offline workflows may be provided in early alpha or beta form. Those workflows can change, may contain defects and may not always sync, import or validate data exactly as expected.
Do not use RangerOS as the only source of emergency, safety-critical, navigation, fire, weather, tide, medical or legal information. Field teams should follow their normal operational procedures and use authoritative sources where required.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe or disrupt RangerOS or its infrastructure.
- Do not upload malware, unlawful material, or content that infringes another person's rights.
- Do not remove product notices, misrepresent RangerOS outputs, or present draft AI-assisted reports as final without review.
- Do not use RangerOS to make decisions about people in a way that is unlawful, discriminatory or outside your authority.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but RangerOS may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, infrastructure events or issues outside our control. We may add, remove or change features as the product develops.
Where practical, we will give customers reasonable notice of material changes that affect existing workflows.
8. Fees, trials and cancellation
Commercial terms, subscription fees, trials, implementation services, support arrangements and cancellation rights are handled through the relevant order form, statement of work, proposal or signed agreement with Yuma IT.
If no separate written terms apply, access may be suspended or ended if fees are not paid, the workspace is inactive, or the service is being used in breach of these terms.
9. Intellectual property
Yuma IT owns RangerOS, including the software, design, workflows, documentation, templates and product branding. These terms do not transfer ownership of RangerOS to you.
You keep ownership of your organisation's data. You give us the limited rights needed to host, secure, process, support, back up, improve and provide RangerOS to you.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, RangerOS is provided without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every field, reporting, funding or compliance situation.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where liability can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or the amount paid for the affected service during the relevant period, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
